Tata Nexon EV
After the successful run-in with the curious Indian consumer, the Tata Nexon EV is the next big offering from one of the most widely respected carmakers all over India and comes first in the list of top upcoming cars.
The Nexon EV can be conceived as a big attempt by one of India’s legacy brands to flex its muscle in the domain of the EV. The all-electric sub-4 meter SUV based on the Nexon is expected to counter an already seemingly competitive EV space powered by the arrival of the ZS EV of MG and the popular Kona Electric.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid
Reports have already confirmed that Maruti Suzuki will launch its first electric car in India by 2020 and also plans to convert its current range into hybrid electrics to be prepared for future emission laws. The hybrid model pairs standard 91hp 1.2-litre petrol motor to a 10 kW Motor Generator Unit (MGU) and a 5-speed Auto Gear Shift (AGS) gearbox. In addition to driving assist with its motor function, the system automatically stops the engine and switches to EV driving when the vehicle is running at a constant speed or during creeping.
The system on the Swift hybrid offers two driving modes to let the driver select between brisk driving, and driving with priority on fuel efficiency by increasing the frequency of EV driving. The company claims the car to provide a high fuel efficiency of 32.0km/L. The vehicle weight is kept within 1,000kg.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Facelift
Inside, the 2020 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift is expected to get the updated SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, revised upholstery, and possibly new feature additions as well. The big change though will come under the hood of the Vitara Brezza that is likely to the 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine that is BS6 compliant. The motor is already offered on the Ciaz, Ertiga and the XL6 that develops about 103 bhp and 138 Nm of peak torque. The motor will come paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and possibly a 4-speed autobox. That being said, the Vitara Brezza will not qualify for the small car taxation that limits the car length to under four meters and the engine capacity to 1.2-litres. Currently, the 1.3-litre BS4 DDiS diesel engine powers the Brezza that will be discontinued by March 2020.

Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift
The updated Toyota inova crysta is likely to receive newly designed front and rear faces. The facelifted Innova rendering suggests an aggressive front and it likely to get edgier bumper design. It features a revised headlamp unit with LEDs as standard across the range. The rear too expected to receive edgier design for the bumper.
Mechanically, the Crysta facelift is likely to remain largely unchanged. It will be available in three engine options including one petrol and two diesel units. Diesel powered Innova will come with a 2.4-litre GD VNT inter-cooler and a 2.8-litre GD oil burner. While the former is good for 146.9bhp of power and 343Nm torque, the 2.8-litre unit puts out maximum power of 174.5bhp with 360Nm torque. The petrol version will be powered by a 2.7-litre four-cylinder DOHC dual VVT-i petrol engine producing 166bhp and 245Nm of torque.

Honda Civic Facelift
The 2020 Honda Civic Facelift exterior changes include LED DRLs remodeled fog lamp surrounds and LED headlights. The base trim of the Honda Civic Facelift gets 16-inch alloy wheels whereas the other variants get 17-inch wheels, aptly named, Shark Grey.The interiors get fresh premium textures and simplified control options for the infotainment system. It also features an automatic climate control option.
The top-end 2020 Honda Civic Facelift features an 8-way power-adjustable seat for the driver. The base model comes with a 1L turbo engine that delivers 124bhp while mating with a CVT auto or 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.5L turbo engines in the other variants, Sport Plus, and Sport delivers 180bhp power. This engine pairs with a 6-speed manual gearbox alone. The 1.6L engine mates with a 9-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission system.

Mahindra Thar Facelift
Mahindra Thar will also come with an updated cabin featuring an all-black dashboard with new dials for the air-con system, new steering wheel, restyled central air-con vents, and possibly even a touchscreen infotainment system. It will also feature comfortable seats with improved side-bolstering and upholstery for the driver and co-driver, while the rear seats will get the side facing bench seats as before. The 2020 Thar will also get features like a brand-new instrument cluster with a MID (Multi-Information Display) unit, and a new gear lever. In terms of safety, the 2020 Mahindra Thar will feature front, ABS driver airbag, rear parking sensors, speed alert system and more as standard.
The new-gen Mahindra Thar will be powered by a new BS 6 compliant engine and of course, a heavy-duty four-wheel drive system with low and high range. At present, the Mahindra Thar comes with a 2.5-litre diesel engine that makes 105 bhp at 3800 rpm and develops a peak torque of 274 Nm from as low as 1800-2000 rpm.

Hyundai Verna Facelift
Hyundai Verna has been a success in the market with its attractive design and features that it offers. Hyundai will soon be launching the facelift of the Verna. The new design will be more fluidic than the current one. At the front, there will be new LED headlamps with DRLs. The grille is expected to get bolder with more striking bumper design. The side profile will see a new set of alloy wheels which are expected to be diamond cut. At the rear, there will be new taillamps with a red strip running across the tailgate. The rear bumper even gets a diffuser. The interior will feature a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The sedan will also get BlueLink connected car feature through which you can start/stop the engine, change your climate etc. There will also be ventilated seats, cruise control, wireless charger and a sunroof. It is expected that the engine will be carried forward from the Kia Seltos. That means that there will be 2 petrol and 1 diesel engine options. The lower variants may get only the 1.5 naturally aspirated engines while the higher variants get the 1.4 turbo petrol.

Hyundai Creta 2020
Hyundai Creta has been the segment leader since it was launched and is still it has its own position in the market. Since the competition has now become stronger, Hyundai has started to test the all-new Creta. The Hyundai Creta 2020 will be based on the second-generation Hyundai iX25. The Creta 2020 gets derives many styling elements from the iX25. Hyundai has given a new front fascia with Kona like Daytime-Running-Lamps design and the projector headlamps have been placed below them. The front also gets skid plates for a more rugged look.
The new petal-shaped alloy wheels, sharp lines with new bumpers will give the SUV a distinctive look among the competition. The interior will also feature new design with more upmarket materials being. There may be a digital instrument cluster which will really increase the value of the SUV. Creta 2020 specs may offer the same engine options that we have seen on the Kia Seltos.

Mahindra Scorpio was liked among the Indians due to its SUV looks, stance and rugged looks. The Scorpio was due for a facelift for quite a long time. Now, Mahindra has started testing mules of the 2020 Scorpio which will be launched by the next year. The 2020 Scorpio will be based upon the new ladder-frame platform to ensure the SUV capabilities of the Scorpio. Under the hood, it may get a set of new engines which are more powerful and produce more torque. It is important to note that the new engines will be BS-6 compliant. The engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission. The front grille will be slightly tilted outwards with the Mahindra’s 7-slot grille. There will be a new set of headlamps with Daylight-Running-Lamps. Mahindra will give a new set of alloy wheels to the SUV which will be more bolder than the current model. The interior may feature an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system borrowed from the Alturas G4.
The lower variants may get the infotainment system from the XUV 500 or XUV 300. The interior will come with all-new dashboard design, a multi-information display and much more features. The dimensions may increase when compared to the current generation.

Hyundai Elite i20
The third-gen i20 hatchback is on its way and has been spied testing in Europe. A redesigned front-end with a bigger grille, redesigned headlights, tail lamps and LED projector fog lamps are some of the changes that can be expected in the new model. The upcoming i20 is expected to retain the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engines from its predecessor and it could even borrow the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Venue. A sportier N version was also spied testing, hinting at a probable Polo GTI rival. Expected to go on sale in mid-2020, the new i20 is likely to be priced at a slight premium over the current version.
